Taos Home Visiting Program Wins National Award
SANTA FE -- Taos First Steps, a home visiting program funded by CYFD and located within Holy Cross Hospital, received a NOVA award from the American Hospital Association (AHA). The First Steps Program was one of five programs nationwide to receive this honor from the AHA, which recognizes collaborative health systems around the country that work to improve community health. CYFD officials and staff attended the awards ceremony along with other dignitaries, including representatives from the office of Congressman Ben Ray Lujan. Hospital administrators and community stakeholders were extremely appreciative of CYFD’s support, and the CYFD vision to provide both standards and flexibility for a statewide home visiting system.
