CYFD Announces Employees of the Month
SANTA FE -- New Mexico’s Children, Youth and Family Department (CYFD) and Cabinet Secretary Dorian Dodson are pleased to announce 10 recent recipients of Employee of the Month honors from the department’s various service areas.
Juvenile Justice Services (JJS) recognized five employees for exemplary service. For January, its Employee of the Month award was shared by Beth Linse, a youth care specialist lead worker at the Youth Diagnostic and Development Center in Albuquerque; Joe Lucero, a transport officer at the John Paul Taylor Center in Las Cruces; and Phillip Parnell, a youth care specialist lead worker at the Camino Nuevo Center in Albuquerque. For February, the award recipients were John Barela, a management analyst with the FACTS Unit of the JJS Central Office, and Darrell Barlow, a youth care specialist supervisor at the Albuquerque Boys’ Center.
The department’s Youth and Family Services (YFS) division announced three recipients of the Employee of the Month award. Lucia Salazar, a juvenile probation and parole officer in Albuquerque, was the Employee of the Month for October 2008. Olivia Ridgeway, program manager for the Licensing and Certification Authority in Santa Fe, was honored for December 2008. Martin Silva, a juvenile probation and parole officer in Santa Fe, received the award for January 2009.
Protective Services (PS) announced co-winners of its Employee of the Month award for February. Anne S. Martinez, an FCM facilitator in Rio Rancho, and Jill May, chief of the Adoption and Foster Care Bureau, were the two honorees.
All 10 employees are noted for their willingness to go above and beyond their job duties and for their dedication to the department’s mission and the state’s children, youth and families.
